New Max Weber seminar


New Max Weber seminar in collaboration with the Department of Social Sciences.

In collaboration with the Department of Social Sciences at Carlos III University, this academic course starts with the Max Weber Seminar, in which prestigious researchers with a broad interest in the Social Sciences, whose work crosses the conventional disciplinary barriers between Sociology, Political Science and Economics, are invited.

 The program for 2016/17 is:

  • 5/10/2016: Nicholas Crafts (Warwick University): “A Vision of the Growth Process in a Technologically Progressive Economy: the United States, 1899-1941” 
  • 19/12/2016: Branko Milanovic (CUNY): “Inequality in the Age of Globalization”
  • May 2017: John Wallis (Maryland University)
  • 01/06/2017: David Stasavage (New York University)

The seminars are open to the whole academic community.
